Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am taking part in the Savills London to cycle on the 13th September 2009, and need your support!
I will be riding a gruelling 62 miles in less than 1 day with over 100 other Savills riders!
We have chosen Honeypot, a charity which helps 1,000 children each year, of which 70% not only live in difficult circumstances, but are also young carers. Often the person they care for is their best friend, rather than a schoolmate, and they suffer from symptoms of stress, social exclusion, loneliness and exhaustion. They often struggle financially, with many living in poverty. Pocket money to enjoy a visit to the cinema, or a trip to the local swimming pool, is a rarity and a holiday is a distant dream.
I am hoping to raise £500 for this very worthy cause and would love to reach it with your support. As a small charity, every penny helps, with 80p in every £1 going towards children’s services. To put this in perspective, below are ways in which your donation could help:
§ A £10 donation would help provide 5 children with an arts and crafts session. Because of their circumstances, these children rarely get the chance to play or relax, these sessions are vital for their personal development.
§ A £20 donation would help provide a child and their family with an hour’s home visit. These visits are a vital part of Honeypot’s ongoing support and are an essential part of a child’s journey with Honeypot.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
