This year, I am running the London Marathon to raise money for Turn 2 Us, a charity that supports people living on and below the property line. Did you know that 1 in 5 people in the UK live in poverty? 

Turn 2 Us also helps people who are living without everyday appliances that we all take for granted: fridges, freezers, washing machines; without access to these, people in poverty can spiral: being forced to use coin-laundrettes is 2500% more expensive; doing daily shops as you have no fridge/freezer is 43% more expensive.  All it can take is a late pay-cheque, an unexpected illness or a death in the family for families to face real financial crisis. 

By donating to and supporting my run, you will be helping a family in need survive through financial hardship; keep children fed, safe, happy and learning in school (a cause that is very close to my heart) and alleviating some of the emotional and mental anguish caused by anxiety, lack of confidence and fear.
