Loch Ness Etape · 24 April 2016

Alzheimer Scotland is the leading, national dementia charity in Scotland. Our mission is to make sure nobody faces dementia alone. We provide advice, information and support and we are here for people living with dementia, their families and carers across Scotland.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Alzheimers is a nasty illness. Everyone knows someone affected by it and I thought i'd just try to put something back for all the hard work behind the scenes these people do. You never know, you or me might need them  oneday.

I should have posted this earlier but hey ho :)

Some of you will know that I bought myself a bike last year to get away from the screen and counteract the effects of many long hours sitting in an office. Turned out I quite enjoy it and fool that I am I've entered the Loch Ness Etape in April. That's a total of about 106 Kilometres and 900 meter climbing at a minimum pace of 13 mph (about 21kph). Endurance riders: there are no vet halts and I've to do all the work myself

I thought if I'm going to suffer there might be one or two on my friends list that might be kind enough to help out, once they've stopped laughing at the thought of me, on a bike, in tight lycra, with an arse like two ferrets fighting in a bag .

So, if anyone would be kind enough to help out please have a look at my Just giving page and if you think you can spare a few bob please do so

Also feel free to share, I've set a target of £1000 but I'd love, and I think we can, do better than that
