At the tender age of 73 I am planning to cycle the 3,200 miles from San Diego, California to St Augustine, Florida and planning to take about 50 days, starting on 27 August.

The National Trust for Scotland looks after for the public a staggering portfolio of Scotland's treasures from castles and other buildings and their contents to mountains and islands and wildlife.   It urgently needs colossal sums to guarantee its survival and thriving beyond the impact of the current Covid-19 crisis, which has forced them to close their properties and thus deprived them of a very large proportion of their income - possibly £28M this year!
