The event we want you to sponser us for is the 2013 Dakar Banjul Challenge; a 3,700 mile 'banger' rally from Plymouth to Banjul, The Gambia. Team "Sloed Down" will begin the rally on Boxing Day 2013; travelling from Plymouth down through Europe, Morocco, Western Sahara, Mauritania and Senegal, before finally finishing in Banjul, The Gambia. Once there our car (a 1992 Polo CL) will be auctioned off for local worthy causes by the local Control Comitee, but we also wanted to raise extra money for SOS Children's Villages which supports families around the world, including in The Gambia.

SOS Children’s Villages has previously received support from Harry and his family through their sponsorship of a young girl and her family in Gambia. This sponsorship and Harry’s trip to Gambia to visit the family inspired Harry to undertake this Dakar Banger Challenge and raise further money for SOS Children’s Villages.
