Story
This is Alexander. He is five years old and at Christmas he was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma.
Neuroblastoma is rare and almost exclusively, a childhood tumour. There is no exactly comparable tumour in an adult.
It has its own specialist treatment that is different from any treatment undergone by anyone else you know who has had cancer.
Alexander is
having intensive chemotherapy at Sheffield Children’s Hospital and a group of four walkers took part in the 42 mile Lyke Wake Walk on 31st July 2010,
to raise money for PACT – a charity set up to help the children and parents of
childhood Leukemia and tumours.
They walked through the night and completed the walk in around 18 hours, with breaks! They were very tired to say the least, but we have all been bowled over by the amazing support and donations to this fantastic cause.
