...Sooo, I'm off again!

In mid-May, I'm heading to Zimbabwe for 3 months to volunteer on a development programme. This is part of International Citizen Service (ICS), which brings young people together to fight poverty and make a difference where it is needed most. I’ll be working alongside volunteers from Zimbabwe, on a project which aims to empower young people in the community and raise awareness of sexual health issues and rights.

ICS works with communities that have specifically requested their help. It also aims to inspire young people in the UK and overseas to become active citizens who are passionate about long term community development.

Although ICS is a Government-funded initiative, I have a personal fundraising target of £800. This will go towards supporting the work of Restless Development and their ICS partner organisations. The money raised will enable ICS to continue sending youth volunteers to the developing world to make a lasting difference in disadvantaged communities.

In order to do this, I'm organising a variety of fundraising events over the next few months. 

Any contribution is welcomed and greatly appreciated. I'm hoping for a good turnout at my planned events, but you can also make an online donation via this page, safe in the knowledge that any contribution will make a real difference to the lives of people in developing countries.
