Marathon · 30 May 2021

Our mission is to make the discoveries that defeat cancer. Our vision is that people can live their lives free of cancer as a life-threatening disease. We work on all cancer types incl. children's cancers, pancreatic, brain and lung cancer. Please support our work and help us defeat cancer.

Story

On the 30th of May, I will be running a marathon in Edinburgh in memory of David de Boinville, my friend Minna’s Dad. He very sadly lost his battle against cancer on the 31st of March. I am hoping to raise money for a very specific project led by Professor Ros Eeles of the Institute of Cancer Research.  She is leading a genome screening project to assess how analysis of the human genome can help to identify individuals at particularly high risk of early onset cancers, so that they can have targeted screening measures, in the hope that this will allow more cancers to be identified earlier when they can be more easily treated.

The day I am running happens to be David’s birthday, which will be very special. Any donations would be hugely appreciated for such an incredible cause. Thank you so unbelievably much for any donations big or small. Any support is hugely appreciated!

Loads of love Georgia xx
