Tough Mudder 2016 · 30 April 2016 to 1 May 2016 ·

It’s unacceptable that more than half of people diagnosed with the deadliest common cancer die within three months. That’s why they need and deserve more. More research, more funding, more breakthroughs. More than hope. Together we’ll make that possible.

Story

Pancreatic cancer is one of the hardest diseases to survive, due to lack of medication. The patient's lives can only be extended with chemotherapy and certain types of medication, which also could be expensive to get.

But my story, my reason for this is that on the 28th November 2008 my family woke up to a call saying our aunt (dad's sister) had passed away in her sleep from battling with pancreatic cancer. The doctor had given her a few months to live, however she extended that herself from being the fighter she was.

She, like many others have left behind family, children, husbands and wives, brothers, sisters, and friends. Their memory will live on.

That's what I want for my aunt. On that day, rain, sun or cold I will remember her and give my best shot to complete it.

I chosethe fact of going to Grantham because that is closer to home, and the family for me. I know my aunt is only miles away and her kids and husband can come and celebrate also.
