If you have a life-limiting illness, we can care for you and your family. Our care is free and can be provided in your home, at our Living Well community hubs or our In-Patient Unit.

Story

UPDATE: WE'RE BACK! After a very rainy few hours along some not-so-pretty A roads (welcome back to England!) we reached London on Tuesday evening, three hours ahead of our eta - hopefully a sign of improved fitness :) We had an incredible time and were so moved by all the support we've been shown - it was a great motivator to think that every mile we cycled was effectively an extra pound each in the bag (even more thanks to the donations since we left!). I'll attach a few photos to the page now, but just wanted to send out a quick THANK YOU to everyone and let you all know that we're back safe and sound with 500+ miles under our belt and lots of pastries in our tummies :D

UPDATE: Many of you have been interested in hearing more details about the trip, so here you are! We will be leaving from Buckingham Palace on the morning of the 21st July, and cycling via Chichester to Newhaven. Then it's the night time ferry to Dieppe before a 4:30am start to get to our roof for the night in Forges-les-Eaux. From there we travel (mostly down the Avenue Verte) to Boisemont and then into Paris for the obligatory holding-up-the-bike-in-front-of-the-Eiffel-tower photo. We're going to have a couple of days rest once we get to Paris and turn into snap happy tourists, as well as see some old friends from the city. Our way back brings us through Gisors and Les Andelys, and then up to Rouen. From there, it's back up to Dieppe and back on the ferry before our last trek from Newhaven to London. In total, a distance of 480 miles (though I'm sure it will be more once we've got lost a few times!) at an average of 50-something miles a day. I've put up a beautifully squiggly but relatively accurate map of our route in the photo gallery - hand squiggled by me in paint and hopefully not the extent of our directions :)

Hello! Thank you so much for even clicking on the link - you're halfway there! There isn't much we need to say to sell Isabel Hospice to you - they are an incredible charity which endeavour to provide help and support to terminally ill patients and their families during times of unimaginable stress and sorrow. Katie and I initially wanted to do this bike ride in aid of a Motor Neurone Disease charity to show our support for our close family friend Rob who was sadly diagnosed two years ago, but after hearing how much support Isabel Hospice has provided for him we decided to try to spread the word of this little known charity instead.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - we raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

If you'd like to hear any more about the Isabel Hospice and any other ways you can help, please visit http://www.isabelhospice.org.uk/

Thank you so much for your support!!
