Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
During a dark time in my life, running was what helped me get by. It became a part of who I was as I was able to gather my thoughts and push through the hardest of days.
Around that time, I attended a fundraiser for Headway Jersey, a charity I did not know much about. At the fundraiser, the event organiser gave a speech about the charity and what they do. A phrase she used was 'Don't think it can't happen to YOU!' Another thing that also stuck was how much funding is required and the very little help received. I then had a look into Headway Jersey;
Headway Jersey is a charity supporting islanders affected by Brain Injury including Stroke, Brain Tumour, Aneurysm, Accidents and many more.They offer specialist support and services for over 140 survivors, their families, friends and carers which includes Neuro-physiotherapy, Cognitive Therapy and advocacy amongst others.
With running costs of £350,000 per year and little Government funding your support is greatly welcome.
I wanted to help and running was what I knew. I am honoured to be able to run and support Headway Jersey and i hope to make a difference in someone's life.
