I am tackling the Great North Run this year to raise money for Macmillan, whose nurses offered invaluable support to my Mam, Angela, when she was suffering from cancer in 2008. She died on October 31st that year and this run is an attempt to raise as much money as possible for cancer care in her memory.

I would be enormously grateful for any help you could give to assist Macmillan in their wonderful work.

Latest news! I completed the run in 1 hour 58 minutes but, true to form, managed to incur a knee injury along the way! It was an amazing atmosphere despite the rain and a great experience, many thanks for your support.
