I'm doing the Royal Parks half marathon in support of Grandparents Plus, for kinship care families across the country who deserve so much better. Children in kinship care - being raised by grandparents or other family members - are disproportionately likely to be living in poverty, and around half have suffered abuse or neglect. Through my wife, who works for Grandparents Plus, I've seen the amazing commitment of kinship carers to giving these children safe and stable homes, and we need to keep fighting for their voices to be heard.
