A challenging cycling epic for the Friends of the Cancer Centre
The route will run from the Mediterranean, near Perpignon, along the Pyrenees and will finish at St. Jean du Luz, near Biarritz, on the Atlantic coast.
It includes most of the killer (Hors Category) climbs from the Tour De France, including all the climbs in the infamous “Circle of Death”. There are 7 cycling days, each averaging 105 km and a massive 6000 feet of climbing (total 740 km and over 41,000 feet of climbing). The worst day includes 11,302 feet of climbing (10 times up Glenshane) in 124 kilometres. (see links below).
