Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My dad passed away on 31st March 2017, after a long journey that had taken him from Cape Town to London, then dancing all over Germany and Europe, back to London and finally to Bexhill-on-Sea in Sussex where he was buried. He was (with mum) a ballet dancer, sometime model, linguist and had many other talents. (See photos)
Bobby (as he is known to most) put up a brave fight against Cancer which finally took his life. He was a man full of life, love, jokes, caring and humour. He is already much missed by his my sister and myself and his 4 grandchildren Keiyre, Vaughan, Beau and Sienna. All of whom he adored and they felt the same way.
During his last 2 months he was cared for so wonderfully by the dedicated and truly amazing doctors, nurses and staff at St Michaels Hospice in St Leonards-on-Sea in Sussex. The hospice made his last days comfortable and as pain free as possible. They got to know and laugh much with my dad as he deteriorated with the dignity a proud man deserved. I would like the hospice to provide this eccellent and free care to as many other patients and their families as possible. I shall be doing a series of events to raise money in his memory. I would like to also raise money for a local cancer charity in Dorset.
7 May - Weldmar Colour Run Weymouth.
26 May - Get Shirty Over Cancer. @Poole Grammar school.
- I shall be running round the entire school fields at Lunchtime wearing an 'Arsenal' shirt, hopefully joined by other students & staff sponsored to run in the shirt of their most detested rival team. It will need to raise at least £100 to wear THAT shirt.
More events to be confirmed.
