As many of you will know i have lived with Hiv/Aids for 23 years , doing quite well on Anti Retroviral Therapy until April 08 when i started to become acutely ill This was diagnosed as B23.8 HIV Myelopathy & Peripheral Neuropathy bouts of very severe Neuropathic pain in my lower legs.The damage to my nerves resulting in me being having a Supra pubic Catheter, wearing continence pads ( Huggies Drynites) ;-) My doctors felt i might never walk agian. This became a challenge and with wonderful neurophysiotherapy i am now able to walk with a stick , requiring a wheelchair for trips outside.hospitalisation or IV treatment of UTI infections which have been quite nasty on occasions....
So caution to the wind (literaly)and Bugger all the above and as as a big Thank you to the the amazing care i have received over the past 23years from , Consultants,Doctors,Nursing team, reception, Pharmacy at the Harrison wing and the Awesome care from all the nursing team on Hillyers ward at Guys & St Thomas' (The penthouse you know who you are Guys and Gals) also the District Nurses at Townley road clinic Dulwich I've had a bonkers moment ,LOL and booked myself to do a Freefall Tandem Parachute for 'The Food Chain' a charity that had deliverd to me wonderful Food hampers from Tesco and hot meals on Sundays when i home from Hospital on every occasion approx 15 times in 08/09 these were such a pleasure and made recovering and feeding myself so much easier . Also doing it for my Wonderful family , Mum, Dad , Bro Bj Sis Outlaw Annick & the Boys and all my incrediblely supportive and kind Friends and carers .I am also inspired By my 'Aunt' and Dearest Friend ,Liz Rudd with Whom I've had the most amazing Fun Days & Nights working with as she along with her FamilyTirelessly continues to raise Thousand for her Various God causes Including People living with Hiv in Africa. Big Thank you to jimmy Smith ,his Team and customers at The 2 Brewers Clapham For the £122.00 raised in the club for my total .Fankoo ALL so Very, Very Much ! There are people out in this City worse off than I!! PS i'm also doing for the adrenaline rush , 4G and 120mph trip from 10,000 feet to the cotswolds ....Wherrrrrrrrp ;-0 X GEZ
