As some of you may know I applied for a Canine Partner assistance dog back in 2011 and I am looking forward to welcoming my new partner home very soon. The difference my dog will make to my life just cannot be put in to words. Please help support the charity to continue it's amazing work.

Canine Partners is a fantastic charity that transforms the lives of people with disabilities. They do this by training and placing some very special assistace dogs. They support people with varying complex disabilities such as Multiple Sclerosis, Cerebral Palsy, Muscular Dystrophy, Stroke, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Spinal injuries and many more. These special dogs are trained to help with everyday tasks such as opening and closing doors, unloading and loading the washing machine, picking up dropped items, pressing buttons and switches and getting help in an emergency. Many people like me find these simple tasks very difficult and sometimes impossible as a result of their disabilities. More than 100,000 people in Scotland use a wheelchair, and a significant number of those would benefit from a canine partner. Please help me reach or fundraising target... and beyond! Any donation you can manage will make a huge difference - it doesn't matter how big or small.
