Gillian passed away peacefully at home in Bielby, surrounded by her family, on 29 December 2020, in her 87^th year. After 62 years of marriage to David, she will be greatly missed by him and their children Joanna, Charles, Sarah and Catherine; grandchildren Thomas, Jessica, Luke, Toby, Emily, Sebastian and Jake; her sister Anne, a close and loving wider family and many wonderful friends. 

Gillian began supporting Plan International in 1995. In February 2001 she travelled with David to Bolinao in the Philippines to visit the child that she was, at that time, supporting.
