Story

My Mum had Huntington’s Disease, which is a genetic progressive, degenerative brain disorder. It affects  movement, coordination, mood, and the ability to walk, talk, eat and think.. It is hereditary, and I have the affected gene, so will go on to develop it too.

I am very, very lucky  to have a later onset and still be symptom-free, as it typically presents in your 30’s or 40’s.  I love my life and am blessed to have 3 beautiful daughters and the support of the best family and friends ever.💕  I am happily working through my bucket list, and trying to step out of my comfort zone and do amazing things while I can, but this Skydive is the big one I've been avoiding until now as it's REALLY scary! I was secretly hoping someone would talk me out of it, but NOPE - that didn’t happen, and one of my oldest and dearest friends actually offered to do it with me ❤️ (so there's no getting out of it now - EEK!!).  I am  doing it in memory of my lovely Mum,  for my girls, and for all who are affected with HD. Please help us to help the SHA, as they are a lifeline of support for those affected and their families and carers.
