We are raising money for One 4 Kids which is the registered charitable trust of our employer One Solution. One 4 Kids helps disdvantaged children in the UK and worldwide. To date we have raised over £500,000.  Each year we select several charities to help and this year we have again chosen one of our firm favourities RUDA Tanzania.

They are a very small Scottish charity who do amazing work in the Ruvuma reigon of Tanzania,namely the building of a primary school.  The children are from the local villages and are able to attend the school by the sponsorship of people in the UK.  The school is still an on-going project and needs considerable support.

After the resounding success of our trip last year, we are delighted to be going back in July this year.  The same team from One Solution, Gillian, Mike, Jim, Grace and Lorraine will go back and run new projects.

The task this year is to support the charity in their aims to become more self sufficient in terms of growing their own food and generating income.  We will kick start this by building chicken coups to house around 30 chickens.  We also want to build an eating area for the children as they currently have nowhere to sit down and eat.

We will also continue what we started last year in the classrooms and  design a new programme of fun,educational and interactive lessons and games.  Of course the children have asked us to run another sports day as they loved it so much last year.

We are only on the ground for 6 days so this is ambitious.

The entire costs of this trip are very generously paid for by One Solution which means that 100% of what you donate will go straight towards the projects.  We need to buy all the tools and materials for the construction and all of the teaching resources/fun stuff.  The more we raise the more we can do.

Any amount you can give, no matter how small,will be so appreciated and will make a massive difference.
