The National Autistic Society is here to transform lives, change attitudes and create a society that works for autistic people. There is still so much to do to increase opportunities, reduce social isolation and build a brighter future for autistic people. With your help, we can make it happen.

Hi for those of you who may only know one of us I will introduce you to us both.  I am Gillian, I have 2 beautiful children, Jaymi, my Daughter is 8 yrs old and an Angel to her brother Sam, almost 4yrs old.  Sam has a diagnosis of Autism and Global Developmental Delay, he is non-verbal.

Maureen is Mum to another 2 beautiful children.  Dominic is 7 yrs old and has a diagnosis of High Functioning Autism, he has a little Sister Megan, 5yrs old.

We are trying not only to raise awareness but to raise funds to help people with Autism, and to try to find what may be causing the rise in Statistics.  Any Funds raised on this page will be divided equally between the 2 Charities we have Chosen.  The National Autistic Society and Henry's Friends. The National Autistic Society has been a lifeline to many parents and carers of people with Autism, they help in many ways.

For those of you who don't know what Henry's Friends is, it is a brand new Charity, founded by Mother and Son, Nuala and Dale Gardner.  Nuala wrote the book 'A Friend Like Henry' about her struggle when Dale was very young, getting anyone to listen to her plea that something was different about her child and her battle to have someone finally confirm his Diagnosis of Autism... The book describes in great detail the struggle that many of us as parents of a child with Autism face.  Henry was Dales' Golden Retriever.  Henry was his life !  Henrys' Friends is a Charity which will now be fundamental in the training and placing of Autism Assistance Dogs with suitable children.

We are in the process of organising 2 fundraising events to take place on the 27th August, 7pm at Duloch Primary School Dunfermline, Fife, Scotland and the other Saturday 29th August, 12-4pm The Vine Church, Dunfermline.  This page is being set up because I know that there are many of you out there, worldwide that would like to attend and are unable.  If anyone would like to make a donation, this way they can...  Please find it in your hearts to donate even the smallest amount.  EVERY PENNY COUNTS.  THANK YOU
