Story
Hi!
I’m running my very first 10k at Bupa London on the 25th May and raising money for the Philippines. While the typhoon struck 3 months ago, people in the Philippines still need help. In my Gallery you can see Oxfam’s emergency response in one minute.
Please spread the word and feel free to sponsor me via this website or text SOLI84 and the amount you’d like to donate to 70070 (it’s free of charge, but only works within the UK).
Thanks for your support!
From the Oxfam website:
In the three months since the typhoon hit, the generosity of Oxfam
supporters and the wider UK public has saved lives in the Philippines.
People whose lives, homes and livelihoods were torn apart by the
typhoon have shown incredible resilience, and are now starting to
recover and rebuild. We will support families as they start to earn a
living again, so they can come back stronger than ever. We’ll also
work with the Philippines government to make sure the recovery
is focused on helping the poorest people out of poverty. And we’ll
continue to call on the international community to provide the longterm
funding people need to build a better future for their country.
