As a team we have set ourselves the challenge of taking part in The Scottish Half Tough Mudder 2016, an obstacle course filled with challenges designed to test your physical and mental grit. (For more information:  www.toughmudder.co.uk)

Our 'Girls-R-Loud' team is made up of close family and friends, Chesca Cassells, Julie Cassells, Kiera Muncie, Mary Cassells, Maureen Fitzsimmons and Nicola Cassells. We have never taken part in anything like this before and we may not actually know what we are letting ourselves in for, but hey! It's all a bit of fun at the end of the day and it gives us the perfect opportunity to raise awareness and money for two hugely deserving charities which are both very close to our hearts. 

We are hoping to raise as much awareness and money as possible for The Yorkhill Childrens Charity and The Beatson Cancer Charity.

160,000 babies, children and young people are treated at the Royal hospital for children every year. Yorkhill Children's Charity sits firmly at the heart of the hospital, raising money to ensure that our young patients and their families receive the best possible care. 

Your donations while help towards: 

• Enhanced medical equipment to help the doctors, nurses and surgeons treat children;
• Innovative play programmes that help to distract, teach and treat children during their stay;
• Family support services that care for parents, families and carers during difficult times;
• Groundbreaking paediatric research to help future generations of Scotland's children.

In 2015, the hospital moved from its home at Yorkhill to a brand new children's hospital - the Royal Hospital for Children, Glasgow. They need your support to ensure that they can continue to provide world-class care for Scotland's sick children for years to come.
