Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On 5th April this year, for the third time in his 24 years, Sam had open heart surgery.  This time was, thankfully, the last. The surgeon was able to replace his pulmonary valve and make it accessible via keyhole for any future interventions - amazing man!  My own heart was bursting with pride as Sam showed bravery and quiet acceptance in the preceding weeks and throughout his time in hospital .

Now I would like to make him proud and show our thanks to the dedicated team at the Golden Jubilee National Hospital in Clydebank who had Sam back on his feet and home just 5 days after his 8 hours in surgery! I figure that allows me 8 hours to get round the 26.2miles, or maybe 5 days?!?! I would really appreciate your support to push me through my training plan and the event on 23 September.  Thank you x
