Hi, I have chosen to participate in the Cardiff Half Marathon to give myself a challenge and to raise money to STOP Modern Day Slavery.

Modern Day Slavery did not end with abolition in the 19th Century. It continues across the world today. There are many forms, Prostitution, Forced Labour, Human Trafficking, Debt Bondage and Child Slavery.

 In the U.K. It is estimated that there are up to 13,000 people in Slavery today, one in four victims are children.These are in the towns and cites that we live in and often visit. This is increasing at an alarming rate and more awareness, support and funds are needed to tackle this issue. Modern Day Slavery is an appalling crime and has no place in today's society .
