I have involved with Hall Green Retired Greyhound Trust for the last 5 years. I am privileged to work with an incredible bunch of volunteers, all of whom give their time, energy and unique sets of skills to help raise awareness of retired greyhounds as great family pets, help socialise and prepare the dogs in our care for their forever homes as well as fundraise to keep the charity going.  

Why am I doing this event? I have always hated any kind of physical exercise and this time last year the only thing I could run was a bath. Then in June 2016 and with much persuasion I joined a outside fitness group and thanks to the amazing people there have kept going back week after week for that hour of intense physical exercise. 9 months later not only do I think I can complete this run, but complete it in the same year as everyone else.  It will be an achievement personally and if I can raise some funds for the charity it will make it even better.
