We are team of colleagues from Global Engagement in the University of Sheffield.

On Friday 22 June we will be doing a 26.2-mile marathon-distance Peak District walk to raise money for the £2 million Sheffield Scanner campaign.

The Sheffield Scanner is a ground-breaking MRI-PET scanner facility, and the first of its kind in Yorkshire. The Sheffield Scanner will represent the next leap forward in medical and imaging research and have a crucial role for research and patients in many areas of medicine, including cancer, neurodegenerative diseases such as Motor Neurone Disease, Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s, heart disease, diabetes and stroke.
