Story

On the 1st and 2nd of April 2022 I will be cycling to the Milton Keynes vs Shrewsbury Town match to raise money for the fantastic work that the Shrewsbury Town in the Community Team are doing around Shropshire. Having attended Supporters Parliament Meetings i'm always impressed by the breath and size of the work being done to help a wide variety of people as well as the work done to improve the lot of the fanbase through things such as the Fanzone. It will be great to hopefully contribute to helping them push on with more projects in 2022.

On a personal note this will be a massive challenge. After Ultra Running myself into arthritis at just age 40 and then two years of super inactivity during COVID, its a challenge that can start be back on a track of some physical activity which as been sorely missed!

So far training has consisted of static bike work and a fantastic impression of Nathaniel Mendez Lang, though i think I'm putting in more effort than he did. Not sure i'm looking forward to sitting on a sore arse at MK Dons to watch town limp to another 0-0 draw, but the pain would be worth it for a late Udoh winner!

So any donations to the charity would be greatly appreciated, and will be posting about updates on @B_and_A_Amber as to the "fun" of training. There is something slightly unhinged about watching town in Ifollow losing and cycling 30+ miles while doing it!

Thanks if you contribute and look forward to seeing you in Milton Keynes (a phrase that no one really wants to say, unless it was the 2007 playoff semi final!)

Cheers

Glyn
