Jasvinder Kaur is raising money for Airedale Hospital & Community Charity
In memory of Dharam Singh
Airedale Hospital & Community Charity is the dedicated charity of Airedale NHS Foundation Trust. We support the staff, patients and communities of Airedale across 700 miles of West & North Yorkshire and East Lancashire. Our mission is to support ANHSFT to enhance patient care and employee wellbeing.

Story

In the last few months of my father-in-laws life, the Gold Line were there to help and support us deliver the best care for him. Thanks to the Gold Line support team, the challenging period was less stressful, making his last moments precious. Therefore, we would like to raise money to support this 24/7 service, as having their support and advice meant that he was able to stay at home with us all.

The Gold Line is a dedicated 24/7 telephone service for people who may be in their last year of life and their families across Airedale, Wharfedale, Craven and Bradford. The care provided by the nurses running the helpline and the services they coordinate, such as contacting the doctor to arranging palliative care/ district nurses to come out to the home when necessary. This has meant that a significantly higher proportion of people have been able to die in the place of their choosing (usually at home).  Which has ensured that every patient has received the right care in the right place, at the right time.

Thank you for any support you would like to give.
