As some of you may be aware and some may not! My Dad is one of the people who is hoping to have a Stem Cell transplant. He has a form of blood cancer and like many others the Transplant is our end goal!
This amazing treatment has been made possible by some of the best hospitals and doctors in the world. However, for some it is not possible without the donation of Bone Marrow or Stem Cells.
Matching donors isn't easy.
To few people are signed up to this crazily important register and too many need the kind lending hand of a strangers match in order to receive their treatment.
It is rare that a member of the family is a match for the patient. This makes being a donor an extremely important role as you could save someones life that you don't even know yet!
So not only am I throwing myself out of plane attached to guy I've probably known about an hour, to raise MONEY but also to raise AWARENESS.
And I am a donor.
