Far too many of us have felt the pain of losing someone we love. With your donations, we power groundbreaking cardiovascular research to save and improve lives, bring hope to families, and keep hearts beating across the UK.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page, set up in memory of Gordon Smith - my brother, Dave's fiancé and Janet's son.

Gordon sadly passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on 7 March 2019 and we'd like to donate funds to the British Heart Foundation (BHF) in his memory. Gordon's death was caused by a heart attack due to atherosclerosis in his arteries.

We've chosen to support BHF to help provide research, education and support, in order to reduce the risk of others suffering from the same condition, with such devastating effects. All donations of any size will be gratefully received and we will add them to the collection taken at his funeral.

If you want to find out more about risk factors and what you can do to reduce them and keep yourself healthy, please follow this link: https://www.bhf.org.uk/informationsupport/conditions/atherosclerosis and take a look around the BHF website.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity and you can donate from abroad too!
