THE DAY AFTER........
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page - updated 14.11.10. Donations are still coming in and its great to see so many people donating towards a final figure that looks like will reach over £3,000, that's £1,000 more than the target of £2,000! Simply could not have achieved this without all of you guys and your generosity, thank you all so much from me, all those at Dreams Come True, and especially the children who will benefit.
Race result: the race has now been run and and I faired pretty well. I completed the course in 1hr 21min 27sec. The weather was on our side too, blue skies which was lucky for an end October day, with lots of supporters coming out into the sunshine to spur us on.
For first time viewers on this site - My aim was to run 10miles in the Portsmouth Great South Run 2010, in order to raise funds to lift the hopes & spirits of those children who are terminally or seriously ill. At Dreams Come True they make it happen...their mission is to bring as much joy to these children's lives as possible. Any money that you are still able to donate will make a difference for the children affected and their families, by giving them a very special memory to cherish. My inspiration for running is my Mum who recently died of cancer. She was often likened to being a 'big kid at heart'. she enjoyed doing the more 'adventurous' activities and seeing more of the world, she loved children and this would be a charity that she would be keen to support. This page will remain open for 3 months after the run date so there's plenty of time to pledge some dosh.
