Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I started running about a year ago. After many years and as many failed attempts at getting into running, I decided running just 'wasn't my thing'. I used to look at runnners as crazy competitive people whom I secretly envied. So last year I finally said goodbye to my bad attitude and gave it another go. I thought if I could just run a 5K then I would be happy. Well after I conquered that goal I really started to push the boundaries of what I could do. Although running a Half Marathon is a really daunting thought, I am determined to prove to myself I can do it.

I couldn't think of a more appropriate charity to raise money for, as I have close members of family to live with Neurofibromatosis. My younger brother was diagnosed at a young age and has since had numerous operations to correct a 90 degree curvature of his spine. Although NF is a rare condition, I know too many other people living with this condition. For me running a Half Marathon will endure me being in pain for about 2.5 hours, however for sufferers of NF it's like running a Half Marathon every single day. I would love to raise even a small amount for this great charity so please spare even a little money for this great cause.
