Fundraising for Little Princess Trust
Story
Hiya friends!
I'm Gracie and I have a brain tumour. It sucks. I've had two operations and my surgeon has done amazing work getting rid of a huge amount of this horrible thing, but now I'm about to undergo radiotherapy to destroy the nasty cells that are still at large in my head.
I'll lose hair during this 6-week treatment, which sucks as long hair is such a comfort to me; has been since my first op when I was self-conscious about my scar... Plus I really love that after two brain operations, I still have my hair! It's unheard of!
Now, there are some who need my hair more than I do. Lately I have seen a lot of kids running around the hospital either bald or balding, and it breaks my heart. Then I've also seen kids sporting stylish wigs looking confident and even slightly sassy. So...
I will be having my hair cut soon and donating whatever they chop off to Little Princess Trust to make wigs for the kids!
I'm also raising money to send along with the bag of hair, so whatever y'all can spare before late November when my treatment ends, feel free to help me out! You will be thanked profusely with tears, hugs and a cuppa.
I'm doing this for those poor lovely kids, but also because I figure if I'm going to lose hair, I'd better beat it to the punch and get rid of some first for a good cause.
