Those of you who visit this page and know me know that I'm not a runner - sure I've run park runs, but 5km has been my limit. They also know I'm not exactly what you would call fit or in tip top shape. Taking this half marathon on is going to be a good challenge for me.

When the seed was planted in my mind by a friend to run the Oxford Half Marathon, I thought I would need some additional motivation to get me through the training. I can't think of a better way of doing this than raising some money for this great charity.

Over the years AFS Oxfordshire have supported the family in many ways and my youngest daughter has been attending their youth groups for a number of years. These youth groups have been brilliant for her, giving her the ability to socialise and look forward to every week.

Any donations I'm sure will be greatly received by them and will be put to good use.
