Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Cruse Bereavement Care Scotland (CBCS or Cruse Scotland) is
the national bereavement charity serving the whole of Scotland helping those who have been unfortunate enough to have experienced the death of a loved one. During the year 2016-17 CBCS received 13301 calls to the National Helpline which equated to a 15% increase from the previous year. This gives an example of the demand for the services of Cruse Scotland.

I have been working with Cruse Scotland for 9 years as a
volunteer counsellor helping clients work through the fog of grief. There are many other volunteers who work face to face with clients, in administration, answering calls on the helpline and fundraising. This all requires resources.

On Saturday 27 May I shall cycle the full length of the Union Canal from the Falkirk Wheel to Fountainbridge in Edinburgh and from there to the Cruse Scotland office in Rutland Square as a fund raiser. I would kindly ask you to give generously for this good cause. I plan to complete the 33 mile ride in under 5 hours with stops at Linlithgow, Ratho and ending at Edinburgh.
