This year I have the honour of being Club Captain at Broke Hill Golf Club at Knockholt in Kent.  My chosen charity is the Marjorie McClure Specialist School nearby in Chislehurst.

The Long Walk, on Sunday 22nd June 2014, is a fundraising event that has turned into a marathon fun day at our Club.  The main event is 72 holes of continuous golf being played by three of our members and our Head Professional, it will take them about 16 hours by which time they will have walked almost 25 miles.  However, in addition to that and through the generosity of so many people we are able to hold Putting Competitions, a Last Round Challenge, food and drinks will be available, the students from the school will be demonstrating many of their adapted activities, and there will even be face painting and other attractions for the much younger visitors.
