On the 12th of March this year, my Dad had gone into hospital for a routine procedure on his heart called an ablation. Unfortunately, he passed away very suddenly during this operation, shocking us all to the core and at a loss as to what to do next.

The previous Friday, I'd had an offer of a CHSS sponsored place in The Beast race and told them I'd think about it over the weekend. That Monday afternoon I had my mind made up for me and have signed up, with my good friend Dave, to this 10k, 30-obstacle BEAST of a challenge race in aid of Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland.

I'm doing this for CHSS, as my whole family owe them a great deal. Without their help funding research and treatment many of us wouldn't be here today.
