We provide conductive education in Brighton to help children with physical disabilities

Story

George Jack Kane was born on 5 March 2016.

From the very beginning, George has been different to other babies and has already been through so much turbulence in his first couple of years in the world.

George presents as a child with cerebral palsy but after months and months of tests, examinations and investigations, he has not received a diagnosis and remains something of a mystery to all of the fantastic medical practitioners he has interacted with to date.

George continues to receive ongoing help and support from a number of agencies. Whoopsadaisy is one of the providers who have been supporting George and is a Brighton-based charity set up to help children with cerebral palsy and other motor disorders experience the benefits of Conductive Education to enable them to lead a more independent life. Conductive Education is a system of learning which helps to develop control and movement, social and daily living skills and language skills and also shows parents/carers how to help their children at home. Further information about Whoopsadaisy is available on their website through the following link: www.whoopsadaisy.org

I have acquired a place at the 2018 Brighton Half Marathon from a colleague and want to use this opportunity to raise some much needed funds for Whoopsadaisy to help them continue to transform the lives of children with cerebral palsy and other motor conditions - enabling them to achieve essential milestones, grow in confidence and have lots of fun in the process.

Regardless of whether or not George ever receives an official diagnosis, there is one thing that we know for sure. George is a very happy and cheeky little boy who is dearly loved by everyone he meets.
