DELTA believes that the vast majority of deaf children can learn to listen and talk and that all parents of deaf children should be given this option. It's aim is to promote the education of hearing impaired children through their residual hearing capacity and naturally spoken language.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I’m running my first (and probably only) marathon in London next April, raising money for DELTA.

Our youngest son Mike, is a cochlear implant user, having been deaf since birth. We were introduced to the team at DELTA when he was a baby and have been supporters of this great charity ever since. Their support and advice were invaluable to us as a young family with no knowledge of deafness.  Their brilliant summer schools introduced us to other families in the same situation and gave us confidence that Mike could progress just like our other kids. That was 18 years ago and Mike is now in his first year at Loughborough University. He’s the one in front!

DELTA are a small charity that do great work. Please support me and my brother in law, Alan to raise much needed funds.
