At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Over 520,000 people in the UK suffer with Alzheimer's disease. It is a physical, progressive disease that affects the brain.
It is recognised to affect things such as; cognitive and physical abilities, language, communication and most commonly known, memory.
Our Grandad is now 93 years old and currently being looked after in a care home near us; after being cared for by our Nan for almost 10 years. They have brough up 4 children, 8 grandchildren,  and are currently on 10 great-grandchildren!
We would like to raise money for Alzheimer's Society to support research into the condition that science knows very little about, and to 'lead the fight against Dementia'. So please help us reach our target by donating as much as you can, whether big or small. We really appreciate it!

Alzheimer's is a very complex disease, so if you do have a little time please visit www.alzheimers.org.uk to find out more information.
