Been in the Fire service since 1994 and seen first hand the excellent work the charity does to support Fire Service Personnel and their families throughout the UK in their time of need.  We as a group want to show our support and would be grateful for any donations in this gruelling challenge ahead.  The course is a 10K obstacle course it is made up of 30 different obstacles from plunging 10 tonnes of ice to crawling through 100 tonnes of mud all of it across the full 10K.  We have decided to do this challenge to help raise money for 2 charities close to the fire service and to make people aware of the difficulties faced both by those that work within the fire service and their families.  The 2 charities the team are looking to support and raise funds for are this the Family Support Trust and the Firefighter Charity which I have a separate page for.
