Sponsored Weight Loss

In January 2007 I began a long term plan to lose weight purely for the health benefits at the time. Three years of weight loss had been going very well but, if you have tried dieting before, you will know how difficult it can get after a long time. It is easy to lose motivation and focus.
In March 2010, Peter Barton, Managing Director of Forge Europa, made a very kind offer to sponsor me to lose weight during 2010 in an effort to help maintain my focus and pledged to sponsor me £15.00 per pound of weight lost in aid of a fantastic local charity "St. Mary's Hospice". I accepted the offer and was officially weighed in on the 12th March to log my official starting weight. We agreed a closing date of the 31st November 2010 and then the challenge was on. At this time I set my own personal challenge to aim for a loss of 3 stone (a 42 pound loss).
On the 31st November I was weighed in and the offical figure was 35¾ Lb Lost (Over 2.5 Stone). Not quite my 3 stone target but not a bad result for St. Mary's Hospice.
In addition to Peter Barton's kind offer, a number of other companies have very kindly pledged sponsorship and I therefore now hope to rasie over £1000 for St. Mary's Hospice.
Thank you to everyone who has supported me, without your kind offers I could not have hoped to made such a valuable donation to charity. Please use this site to log your donations.
Since January 2007 I have lost over 6 stone and I still have another 4-5 stone to lose, so there may be another sponsored weight loss next year.
