Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On Easter weekend 2020 I will be running 4 miles every 4 hours for 48 hours (plus a bonus run at 6am on Monday 13th to bring it to the equivalent of 2 marathons). Starting at 6am on Saturday 11th April.

My good friend Zenon Raddon has agreed to complete the first 24 hours with me (I think he's probably regretting saying yes now...).

The idea was to push myself out of my normal comfort zone - although breaking down a marathon to 4 mile chunks may sound more manageable (I'm sure it is), the real challenge will be a mental one - lack of sleep, fatigue, and having to lace my trainers up and get out there rain or shine every 4 hours - and do it for 48 hours straight!

I started this page because I think completing this challenge would feel like wasted effort if nobody were to benefit from it - £1 is better than no £ - and all proceeds will go towards helping those in our city who have the least.

About the charity

Friends Without Borders helps asylum seekers in Portsmouth by providing a drop-in where they can meet friends and get advice, food and money. We also provide English classes and some free accredited legal advice - one of the only organisations in Portsmouth to do so. WE ARE ALL VOLUNTEERS
