London Marathon 2019 · 28 April 2019 ·
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As many of you may know my nephew Adam died suddenly of meningitis on the 7th January 2017. It was sudden and with very little warning and the medical team did all they could to save him. Like most his age he had had the ACWY vaccination but this did not include the B vaccine which is not given routinely! He was only 16. A lovely and kind strapping lad who had just started studying for his A Levels and had his whole life ahead of him. It's left us all devastated.
Adam kept himself fit and loved his sports and had a real passion for running, therefore I could not think of a more fitting way in which to honour his memory so on Sunday 28th April I will be running the London Marathon again.
I will be fundraising and raising awareness for Meningitis Research Foundation as they are working tirelessly to prevent others like Adam of dying from this virus.
Thanks so much for any donation large or small that you are able to make as it will help to make a difference.
Greg xx
