We support vulnerable families to give children a brighter future

Story

Dear friends,

On 7th October this year I will be heading off to Chicago to run the marathon; then, to make things interesting, on 4th November I will attempt the New York marathon.

Some have suggested that this is a courageous endeavour; I explain my actions through the excuse of having fewer brain cells than most. (Always check whether you have an entrance in one race before applying for another).

I need to make this madness mean something in order to help me get through the final 25 miles after hitting the wall with the start line still in sight; I need to feel that my efforts will count for something.

So what could motivate me to the end?

Would it be the promise of a cold beer at the end of the 2nd race? – Perhaps.

The feeling of accomplishment? – This will help.

No, its needs to be more and I need you to help me and share the experience with me.

I’ll imagine each and every one of you behind me when things get tough.

All the costs of the trips, hotels and flights will be paid out of my own pocket.

We have the opportunity to make a real difference and directly help those who do some amazing work helping others.

I ask that we consider our fortunate position in that we have the choice and chance to make a difference.

Please help and donate / pledge generously with all your heart.

Thank you

Greg
