My Nephew Archie was born on 12th February 2011 and died on 6th February 2013 after a tragic battle with cancer. Archie spent long periods of time in Birmingham Children's Hospital throughout his short life.

Throughout the month of December I will be growing the biggest, bushiest, itchiest, scratchiest beard I can. Traditionally I should be clean shaven to start the challenge, however I have a beard every other day of the year, so that would not have been a challenge. I will therefore be starting from the point I normally have a trim, to see how big the beard will go.

Archie was such a strong willed little boy whose spirit was never broken through all that he endured.
