TRUANTS CHARITY BIKE CHALLENGE MEXICO 2015 · 17 November 2015

Nordoff and Robbins is the UK’s largest music therapy charity, with a unique approach shaped by more than 60 years of practice. Through the power of music, it breaks through the barriers caused by life-limiting illness, disability and social isolation. The charity does this through providing music therapy to people across the UK, whilst also training the music therapists of the future and funding research to measure and improve the impact of its work.

Story

Dear friends and family,

Now it's the time of year again,

Last year's success with our cycle tour in Cambodia is now being followed up with a trip to Jucatan Peninsula in Mexico, where we will ride 200 km in three days to raise money for three childrens charities - Nordoff Robbins, Teenage Cancer Trust and Childline.

I have as you know been training hard and lived an ascetic life in recent months to get in shape and fit into the cycling shorts. I kindly ask again for your help and appreciate every single coin that we can get for this purpose.

We go by the name The Truants, originally an initiative of Iron Maiden's manager Rod Smallwood. Over the years The Truants have collected 1,218,440 pounds to charities! We will of course fully pay our own expenses so everything goes to the three important fundings above. I hope you dig deep in your pockets and make a deposit via my profile.

Thanks in advance

Gunnar Schöldberg
