Story
We were all diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015 and introduced through the wonderful Breast Cancer Care charity's online chat forum and became known as the 'October Chemotherapy Starters'. We moved our group to Facebook for more privacy and during our treatment and beyond became an incredible source of support and comfort to one an other. Even during the dark hours in the middle of the night when one of us was wide awake due to drug-induced insomnia, they would always be someone there to chat to. It's hard to explain the strong bond that developed between the group members but our shared experiences and sense of humour made the tough times more bearable.
Glenda was a regular contributor to our group and although most of us had never actually met her, being a part of our close-knit group meant that we considered her a friend and we were all shocked and truly saddened to hear of her passing. When we found out it was her wish for donations to be made to the hospice, we set this page up in her memory.
We send our deepest condolences to Glenda's family and friends xx
