Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We are raising money for children living in developing countries with disabling hearing loss by undertaking two day-long bike challenges on Thursday 18 May.

The challenges

On Bike 1, with the use of the latest in cycling software, our brave and bold team will be transported to southern France to take on the Tour de France. The team will cycle in 15 minute time slots from 8.15am to 5.30pm. No breaks, no breathers, just the sights of the road ahead and the wind whistling past (courtesy of a somewhat less technologically sophisticated electric fan).

On Bike 2, Frank Ilett, partner and accredited velodrome cyclist and Graham Nunns, director and former under 18 national Omnium champion, will be taking on the watt bike. Frank will be aiming to complete a painstaking six hours in preparation for a 24 hour team challenge later this year whilst Graham will be taking on a demanding three hour timeslot.

The cause

The Ian Hutcheon Clinic for Children is a charity dedicated to improving the hearing outcomes of children in developing countries.

By focusing on the prevention and early intervention of childhood hearing loss, the Ian Hutcheon Clinic for Children is a UK-based charity that seeks to make a real difference to the lives of children living in countries like Uganda by aiding the development of speech, language, social integration and educational achievement.

Selected by the staff at Haberman Ilett having met its founders at the start of this year, it is a charity close to our hearts. The parents of Nathan Choudhury, Senior Associate, are on the board of trustees.
